The Pascal Engman Foundation promotes reading among the young

In February 2021, the author launched his Swedish foundation Pascal Engmans stiftelse. The foundation is dedicated to the cause of promoting reading among young people. Since reading is decreasing in the population as a whole, and in particular among young age groups, Pascal Engman has established the foundation, with an annual prize being awarded to someone — could be a librarian, teacher or a book blogger, or someone else — who has done significant impact to get more young people to read.

The recipient of the annual award, named Reading Promoter of the Year, receives a 2,500 EUR grant.

Pascal Engmans stiftelse was announced through an op-ed in Sweden's #1 morning paper Dagens Nyheter. The launch of the foundation was widely covered in Swedish national news media and put significant light on the issue.
